Family Association
A FUNDAMENTAL
PART OF DYC
Our Family Association is a fundamental part of DYC. From working on improving the family dynamic in parent group to full-on enthusiasm for our fundraising activities, the parents in DYC’s Family Association have much to do with our success. At weekly general meetings, parents have an opportunity to connect with other parents and interact with DYC’s board of directors and program staff.
New parents attend orientation group for several weeks whereby they are introduced to the benefits of the therapeutic community. Following orientation, parents join ongoing parent groups to sort out the problems that a young person’s addiction can cause.
